Jul 4, 2024

FALKEN Tyre Europe GmbH, took an overall win with the Porsche 911 GT3R, Car No. 3, at the third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (Official name: Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie), a four-hour race that took place on June 22 in Nürburg, Germany.
Team FALKEN Motorsports entered a pair of Porsche 911 GT3R in the race, Car No. 3 and Car No. 4. The two Porsches started strong in the qualifying sessions, with Car #4 securing second place and Car #3 close behind in third place. The main event saw the duo getting off to an explosive start and maintaining a one-two lead. Despite rain setting in towards the end of the race, the drivers in Car #3 kept cool heads and brought home a commanding win with a lead of over 90 seconds ahead of the runner-up. This marks Team FALKEN’s fourth win of the season, following its win in the first round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series and two victories in the Nürburgring QF Race (Official name: ADAC 24H Nürburgring Qualifiers), highlighting the superior grip and wear resistance of FALKEN tires.

■ Outline of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS)
It is an endurance race series made up of a total of eight races held in Nürburg, Germany. Unlike the 24-hour endurance race that is held only once a year, the NLS races range in length from 4 to 12 hours. Vehicle manufactures and tire manufactures, including us, use the NLS as a test field to aim for the win in the 24-hour race, and many leading teams compete in the NLS. A circuit of the course used for the races is about 25 kilometers, which is almost the same as that used for the 24-hour race. It is an extremely tough circuit, with around 170 corners, a height difference of approximately 300 meters, narrow course widths, and wavy and slippery road surfaces.
