Team FALKEN’s Yoshihide Muroya Claims His First Victory in the Third Race of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2016
Jun 6, 2016
Team FALKEN’s Yoshihide Muroya has claimed his first ever victory at the third race of this year’s Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2016, which was held this past June 4-5 weekend at Makuhari Seaside Park (Mihama Ward, Chiba, Japan). Since 2015, we have been proud to sponsor, through our FALKEN brand, Mr. Muroya, who holds the distinction of being the only race pilot from Asia competing in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
Held in Japan for the second time, this year’s race drew enormous crowds of spectators—90,000 in total over the course of two days. After finishing with flying colors in the first and second rounds, Mr. Muroya continued to demonstrate outstanding aerial speed and precision in the decisive FINAL 4 round to claim his first ever victory in his native land, making him not only the first Japanese pilot to win a race in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship, but in fact the first pilot from all of Asia to do so. With five more races remaining in this year’s tournament, we sincerely hope that you will join us in looking forward to watching Mr. Muroya’s top-notch performance in the coming races.
